                          It's a very fun map!

Description : This was my first attempt at a map as you will be able
to tell if you play it (i.e. it definitely will not be
the prettiest map you've ever seen). It is, however, a
very FUN map for KOTH for a small number of players. I
downloaded my first map editor on 5/10/98 and first
submitted this one on 5/15/98 and I have absolutely no
previous mapping experience!!! I've learned a lot that
week and will hopefully clean up some of the imper-
fections in this map some day.

Recommended
# of players : 2-8

Also good for
regular deathatch play : Probably not, but you're welcome to try!

Additional Credits to : Russell Albury, Dan Stolz, Dan McDonald, and Bill
Compton for all their help with ideas, suggestions,
testing, information, and support associated with
this map. I couldn't have done it without them.

Also, thanks goes to following for use of their
                          prefabs . . .
                          1) J. Girard (aka AzrKnight) at the qED Prefab
                             Park (http://www.planetquake.com/prefab/) for
the bridge at the top of the spiraling ramp to
the hill. I'd also like to say thanks to AzrKnight
for creating and maintaining the aforementioned
web site. Prefabs rule for new level editors
like myself. Not only can you get good stuff in
your map with a minimal amount of knowledge but
they are a great way to learn how to map by looking
at the way things should be done.
                          2) Sagnor (sagnor@snet.net) for the iris door
between the spawn room and the bottom floor of
                             the big room.
                          3) EutecTic (jfgrol@cam.org) for the animated floor
switch used to trigger the bridge.
                          4) Matthew 'bushboy' Trow for the bracket "holding"
                             the bridge up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notable Dates . . .
5/10/98 - Downloaded a few map editors and tried to figure out what the
             heck I was doing.

5/11/98 - Scrapped to put together a level for the KOTH contest. The first
one, while very similar to the one I eventually submitted, was
not very playable at all (two thumbs down).

   5/12/98 through
5/15/98 - Revised and revised until I got something worthy of submission
             for the contest.

5/18/98 - I found out my map made it into the next release of KOTH 1.3.

   5/18/98 through
5/22/98 - Made a change or two here and there. Most notably I added two
prefabs (see credits above). Been busy though, not a lot of time
             to dedicate to the project.

   5/25/98 through
5/29/98 - Worked on recomendations given to me from BotanikA from OSP. Worked
on cleaning up some things like misaligned textures and similar
stuff. Removed the BFG (no more BFG's in ANY KOTH maps). Added a
glass shield leading up to the bridge, need to test it's impact on
playability though. Changed the swith for the bridge from a wall
mounted one to a floor switch.

   6/1/98 through
6/5/98 - Did a lot of texture fixing. Tried to get rid of some seams that appear
throughout this level. Added a bracket for the bridge (see credits
above). Am fooling around with the switch for the bridge. I need to
start finalizing some of these things soon though. Needs to be done by
6/11/98! Gave a copy to the OSP guys for evaluation.

   6/8/98 through
6/11/98 - Got the floor switch (see credits above) for the bridge working properly.
Cleaned up a few things here and there at the last minute.
