Whats new in KOTH 2.0
---------------------
20 November 1998

This release includes a revamp of the client console.

- Much improved format on information about the current game:
o Time on the hill (HUD)
	   * Turns WHITE when on the hill
	   * Turns GREEN when off the hill
o Local clients rank of the field: x/y
	   * "x" = current ranking
	   * "y" = total number of players
o Time remaining on the level. When the
remaining time on the level falls below
1 minute, it begins to flash white and
	  green.
o If on the hill, not only is the hill time
highlighted, but also a message that says
[ ON THE HILL ] will be displayed centered
on the lower portion of the screen, above
	  health and ammo information.

- Single installation zip file. No updates. Due to new maps and fixes to old ones
the small differential in file size was deemed not worth the confusion. Everyone
whether they have played koth before or not needs to download koth20.zip

- Four new maps:
The long awaited koth7.bsp - Ho Ho Yo (Village by the Sea) By BotanikA
koth12.bsp, Fish in a Barrel - By BotanikA
        koth13.bsp, Crater - By BotanikA
perspex.bsp, Perspex - By Tim Medcalf - Deviant

- Your favorite default blaster is history. We got tired of
that annoying sound, so it is gone. So, when you start a
level, everybody is your friend until someone can find a
  weapon.

- The BFG has been replaced with body armor (i.e. red armor)
on every level. This is not a change in the map, just a
replacement of BFG spawns with red armor spawns.

- The scoreboard has been revamped to be, well, not so confusing.
There can be up to 16 players displayed on the scoreboard, with
the current viewing player's information highlighted in white
against all other entries (which are green).

- There can now be a "Queen of the Hill" at level end if the
leader is wearing a female or crakhor skin.

- Various internal code optimizations that will hopefully help
performance when a lot of players are logged in simultaneously.

- Fixed long outstanding vwep problem that caused annoying errors
  for all clients.

- Of course, we have a credit splash screen, but it doesnt eat up
your console window and it is placed in a viewable, but out of
  the way location.

Hope you like the changes! We think these improvements add a lot
to the gameplay of KOTH.

Again, thanks for playing KOTH,
