You may know Domination from Unreal Tournament. It is a teamplay mode, where each team tries to control the "domination spots" in a map, mostly three or four. The longer they can hold a spot, the more points they get. In Domination for Quake2, you are not limited to 2 teams, you can have up to 4. This adds even more strategy to the gameplay.

The MOD is still "under construction", but this is a completely functional test version. It is server side only, i.e. it includes no new models and no maps. I have added some domination spots to the standard Quake2-DM maps (Q2DMx), and you can also define spots in non-standard maps.

If you want to make maps for Domination - do so! We'll include them in the final release (if they are good enough, of course:) Just contact me, I'll give you all the info you need.

For comments, bug reports, flames or philosophical debates, email me. Please also let me know if you plan to run a Domination server.

* console commands: *
*********************

scorelimit
The game ends when one team reaches the scorelimit.
If scorelimit is 0, the game coninues until either the
timelimit or the fraglimit is hit.

forceteams (2-4)
used to override the number of teams specified in the map (note: Q2DM1-8 don't specify a value, so it defaults to 2, if not overridden with forceteams)

domspot <name>
Creates a domination spot with the given name at the position the player is standing at.
The domination spots are saved in dom.cfg.
