Description             : 3-level, single-player, quake 1 pak.
my newest(and last) quake 1 release. The first level is a skill setting level.
Rubicon's a base level, featuring my new textures. They are all sort of industrial
and corroded. It was tough trying to make base bad guys difficult, i ended up just
using a lot of them, combined with few health and ammo boxes. This time i wised up
and used qED. It's a very nice editor, i might stick with it for quake2...

Also contains a secret level, "eagle." this is a conversion of the first level of
an old favorite, i was true to the floorplan exactly but used the architectural style
E1M4, "the grissly grotto." hopefully you'll enjoy it. note: this map has no difficulty
settings. You get to it by finding a secret in the start level which reveals both the
nightmare skill pipe and the entrance to eagle.

* Story *

Quake is deserted. You wander the desolate world, comrades nowhere to
be seen. But all of the slipgates you find seem to lead to castle after
castle, still on Quake. Finally, you learn of a remote mountain base that
holds the Long-Range Mass Transfer Beam, your only hope to escape Quake
and rejoin the forces in their new campaign on Stroggos. But beware, for
trying to stop you will be a whole slew of berzerkers, gladiators, tanks,
gunners...oh, wait, no, it's just enforcers, grunts, and dogs. Have fun
marine.
