Mapper's Notes
================

The Xmas Jam 2020 maps were the saving grace of an otherwise very lonely Christmas last year. It became important to me that I contribute to this year's Xmas Jam, in the sense of paying it back/forward.

This was my first map, and I believe that I have hit upon every possible first-timer's mistake, despite the best efforts of dumptruck_ds and everyone on the quake mapping discord. Thinking about it, I can readily identify the following:

-Mixing too many texture types leading to a style mishmash
-An aversion to pretty much any angle not divisible by 90 degrees
-Lighting harshly and weirdly
-Very little detail, and probably not assigning func_groups and func_details where I should have
-Running too close to the deadline to ask for any playtesting
-Defaulting to a "horde mode" toward the end when I ran out of ideas

There are assuredly more. But, if this map is at all fun, then I will consider it a success. Thank you very much for playing it. I appreciate it and I will see you at the next map.
