The SonicBeam, version 1.0
Copyright (c) 1998 by Zarniwoop (Jess Crable):
===================================================================

The SonicBeam uses everything that the normal ASMD uses- only the
effects of the projectiles are different. The main projectile
(normal fire mode) damages the opponent a little if aimed right, but
more importantly it will confuse the target by causing their view
to shake around. The alternate projectile (normally the TazerBall)
will launch your target into the air, which usually can set you
up to pick them off nicely before they land.

This weapon is intended primarily to disrupt your target rather
than cause monstrous direct damage.

Future versions of the SonicBeam will be based more on the target's
mass (you won't be able to lift a Titan quite as much as a rabbit,
for example). There will also be different sounds as soon as I can
find some that fit.

I'm also considering adding an armor item that will nullify the
SonicBeam's effect.

This is version 1.0, more versions will follow. Any modifications
of mine that are version 1.0 should basically be considered "beta"
versions- although they work fine for me, they haven't been tested
as thoroughly as they are after being released. Please submit any
problems you have, bugs, or suggestions for improvements to
zarniwoop@planetunreal.com as soon as possible.

Hit <TAB> during a game, and type "summon sonic.sonicbeam" to get
ahold of one!
