Instructions for: RECORDING QUALIFYING DEMO'S

				     Installation
				    --------------

Unzip the file jrdm2.bsp in this archive into your id\maps directory, if the directory doesn't exist, create it. 
(Note: The 'routed' map in this archive 'must' be used!)

Unzip the file demo.cfg in this archive into your 'omicron' directory.
(Warning: This file must not be modified in any way!)


				 Demo Recording Procedure
				--------------------------

 (1)  Start Omicron as usual. 
 (2)  Then bring down the console. (~ key)
 (3)  Type: exec demo.cfg
 (4)  Hit "Enter" and the map will load.
 (5)  Hit "v" and the demo will start to record.
 (6)  Hit "b" to place the bot into the map.
 (7)  Hit "n" twice in a row to show stats of the game settings and botskills. (very important)
 (8)  Proceed to fight, and try to make your best demo possible.
 (9)  Hit "m" anytime during the game to remove the bot and restart.
(10)  Hit , anytime during the game to stop recording of the demo for any reason before the 10       min timelimit ends.
(11)  Hit "v" if your not happy with anything any time during recording, and you want to restart 
      your demo.
(12) If you restart, make sure to hit "n" again also, to show botskills.
     (any demo submitted without showing botskills and final scores will be automatically 
     disqualified) 



Here's a rundown of the bound keys and their related commands:

v is to start recording the demo (and to restart).
b is to place the bot in the map.
n is to show game settings and botskills. (I can't stress enough how important this one is!)
m is to remove the bot from the map.
, is to stop recording the demo.

Note: You can change these key bindings to any keys you want, if you so desire.


				   Renaming Your Demo
				 ----------------------

After you've finished your demo, look in your omicron directory for 'player_frags_jrdm2.dem'

Rename it to 'yourname_yourscore_jrdm2.dem 
Example: skorpion_35_jrdm2.dem



				        
                                    Demo Submissions
				   ------------------

(1) Zip your demo with winzip or whatever else you use. 
(2) Send your demo as an attachment to the dedicated contest e-mail address: duel@planetquake.com
