Author's Notes -------------- DmMonumental was inspired by the looks and feel of the Quake Arena demo level. And before you go "hey, where have I seen that before", yes, I've stolen the moving mirror! I couldn't resist it, it looked so friggin' cool! Anyway, it wasn't my idea, so I've given id software credit on this one. Now that that's out of the way, I can return to something useful. First off, this level may be a bit hard on your computer. I've laid off the fog this time, but the architecture, lighting and decorations will take their toll. I've run it at a decent framerate (for what I can expect on my system) with five bots, and it runs better than my DmGehenna even though Monumental is a much bigger level. I think I've really gotten the bot support the way I want it on this level - at least I didn't find anything wrong when I tested it. However, if you s h o u l d find something, let me now, and I'll test it further and see if I can rectify the problem. IMPORTANT (This is a feature I don't want you to miss.): Don't mistake the mist on the floor (in the outdoor area) for eyecandy. When used in conjunction with the play dead-feature (FeignDeath), I think you'll find it pretty handy... As always, feel free to mail me your opinion of Monumental. Your input is a great resource for the making of my future levels. Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- This level is copyrighted by Fleshdance 1999.
