DMRockTheBoat for Unreal by cranked --------------------- Map Name : DmRockTheBoat Type : Deathmatch, Botmatch Released : 12/4/98 Editor : UnrealEd 219 Build time : a bit longer than I intended... Base : from scratch Author : Brian Wilson aka "cranked" Email : brian.wilson@lsdo.ssi1.com other maps : DMBlueMoon Recommended players/bots : 3 to 8, best at 5 Number of Start Spots : 8 Map info -------- ec.u - Make sure you put this file into your unreal\system directory! DMRockTheBoat.unr - goes in the unreal\maps directory DMRockTheBoat.jpg - a screenshot of a broadside! DMRockTheBoat.txt - hmmmmmm The Level is a cruiser at sea, and has turrets that fire broadsides timed to help you assault the upper areas. Don't worry too much about falling overboard, there is an invisible rail all around. DO worry about getting blasted overboard! Bot noding is, imho flawless, so watch out! Smooth play (no edges to get caught on) and the large player model fits everywhere. Known Bugs ---------- Sorry software render folks, this level suffers from Unreal's poor handling of model visibility thru thin walls in a few spots. Looking into the Armoury from the main deck area sometimes diplays inner walls up on the sky... didnt want to add a door to hide it though. Anyone know how to get the bots to camp in a good sniping spot? ie up by the radar? Thanks ------ Andrew at Skaarjcorps for the ec.u file to allow multiple explosionchain triggering (mappers, feel free to use it in your levels!) The folks that hang out on gameslink irc #unrealed at 2am Unreal Action for the great site and good exposure!
