=============================================================================== Title : Temple of Me v2 Filename : DMTemple of Me02.unr Version : 3/23/99 Author : W. Sharrow Email Address : maxsmoke@mail2.quiknet.com Description : This is a nice little level. Fully decked out with all the toys, sounds effects, and what not... But who cares about that?! This Level has my Face in it! Nobody ever told me this but you can write your name using the fire engine, and after doing so about 500 times with all the different fire effects Unreal had I thought, "Hey, why not include my big fat head and make a level of it!". So here it is! No, really, I got some nice architecture and special effects in this level and it's pretty fun to play with bots. There's about 5 areas interconnected through a dozen tunnels, hallways, and teleporters. Every area has two ways out of it and only one of the areas is suited for camping. It makes for a very fast and rapidly changing deathmatch arena. And in addition, you'll NEVER forget who made the level! Other Unreal levels by author : Cliff Wars, The Shooting Gallery, Lava Castles, BattlefeildZ, Space StationZ and HovelTown =============================================================================== * Play Information * Game : Unreal Single Player : You could, but you'd be playing with yourself! Cooperative : Not really... Team : Sure Deathmatch : Yup Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : Hell Ya! Demos Replaced : No * Construction * Base : From scratch Build Time : About 12 hours total, over two days. Editor(s) used : UnrealEd Known Bugs : This level is pretty solid, I don't think there are really any bugs to it. I can't find a good tutorial on Pathnode layouts to keep the bots all running around, that might come with version 3 of this level. Actually I'll add that to BattleFieldZ too when I find that one out. Right now the only big bug is that the red team tends to get caught in the hallway leading from the furnace to the ice room. They all just kinda stand there and look stupid. If you play on red team though this gives you a good chance to play Rambo and take on 1 to 8 bots single handed! * How to use this level * Copy this into your "Unreal\Maps" directory, copy the "TempleOfMe.utx" file into your texture directory, and start up Unreal. Then select a multi-player or Botmatch game, and select it in the level select area. Or you can just double click and explore the level on your own. You'll get to kill some VICIOUS bunny rabbits and some KILLER gold fish! * Copyright / Permissions * This level is (c) by W.Sharrow 1999. You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission! Author's Soapbox: Some disreputable companies and magazines used my levels in their CD compellations under the promise of sending me a copy of the CD, and NEVER did! Daniel Emery from PC Zone Magazine and Steve from StudiosWRF, just to name two. I didn't even ask for the CD's but I really hate getting lied to about them. Level designers everywhere should boycott jerks like that! :P You MAY distribute this map through any electronic network (internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file and leave the archive intact. * Where to get this map * ftp.cdrom.com and mirror sites.
