September 1998 ================================================================ Title : The Ghost of Alin'Gar Filename : alingar2.unr Author : Tim "Kew" Jervis Email Address : Kerrow@telusplanet.net Author Info : Contributing Designer to: Heretic II for Raven Rise of the Phoenix (Fantasy Quake) Numerous freelance maps, including: Illhaven Winter Blue Demon Inn Qakula Icbm The Ruins of Athelstan Gormen Goblin Series for Doom And many more.... L'Abbe de Mort (for UnReal) - released under the name "Kewson" Description : A dungeon romp. The object was to create a chilling and mood invoking environment. The map is quite large and will require some processing punch to run at its best (as will any good map in UnReal). It runs well on this PII 300/Voodoo2/128mb.... I created this map for the fun of it and to get to know UnRealEd - a great piece of programming). There is a story - as told by the ghost of Alin (once proud Lord of the Castle - now infested by rather nasty creatures...). As is my way, I limited use of textures, preferring instead to use architecture, lighting and space for effect. This map is a revision of an earlier version - following some beta testing. Additional Credits to : Everyone at Epic. Cool tools in UnrealEd. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Yes Cooperative : No Deathmatch : No (this map is too heavy) Difficulty Settings : Yes New Sounds : No (next time) New Graphics : No (next time...) I have not run the map in software rendering... Installation and play : Download the map and dbl-click on it. * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this map, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact and get my permission. And don't even think about modifying it !! (I don't want this to end up as a template....) Thanks folks. Have fun. Play it by candlelight...... And - don't forget to pick up a copy of Heretic II when it's out - SOON. Kew
