The Mountains of Insanity
Large level with a secret military research base in the mountains built on top of a runic/metal dungeon. It is based on the Progs_dump mod (included) and comes with a few modified models and a custom skybox. The map and QC sources are included.Note: This map requires a source port with increased limits

Have to rate this a 5, great quake feel to it,keeps you on your toes on skill 3,last fight, is wherel the hell can i hide lol lol,little back tracking needed also, or i was going the wrong way all the time.But honest to good map, that you want to play again, after finishing it,didnt find many secrets,but secret hunting isnt my thing.
A step up in quality from the previous map. The mixed themes are fun and there's replay value, I didn't look too hard for secrets and may gave it another run for them. Whether or not it's intentional, the last battle is easy to skip.
I haven't had such an immersive Quake feeling in a long time. Great details, I like the transition between the styles and the somewhat cinematic atmosphere. Looking forward to the umpcoming maps!
I get this message in the console (both with MarkV and QSS):
Couldn't load sound/dump/spark.wav Could not load sound/break/pd_bricks1.wav
Strangely, these are sound files from Brick Red. This message only occurs while playing Mountains of Insanity, starting it from the id folder as usual...
Did I miss something?
Me being wrong: these sound files do not only belong to Brick Red as it appears... Sorry, I'm relatively new to this kind of stuff...
Presumably it's not crucial to the experience anyway, am just curious....

It was part of progs_dump, but I forgot to put it in the pack, so the game throws this error. But it's not a fatal error, so you'll be fine.

All right! I did not want to seem petty by the way, I rather thought I might have done something wrong in the process, since I'm a noob on this matter. Now I know what progs_dump is. Thank you!
This is everyhing i expect a modern Quake map to be. Competent and well-planned mapping, a coherent build up to the finale, sense for details, good gameplay...
My compliments. I could not have made anything like this myself.
