You could also use the length of the track as the movie length, instead of just exactly 10 minutes. I think there are some pretty long tracks on there.

edit: Rereading the thread I would suggest simply making it "random snippets of user-created Quake things" so everything could get in. Nowadays recording in high resolution would surely make more sense than going low.

I still stand by my "capture it in DOSQuake 1.0x in DOSBox" idea for the classics. It's easy, it's lossless, and it's "the way it's meant to be played" for anything in the '90s. (The few "GLQuake" tailored TCs are only so to compensate the irresponsible use of the fullbright color range)
