Played through Doom3 and Doom3:RoE. Wasn't terribly impressed, in both instances the game relied too much on darkness as a gameplay crutch (it should be used more as a mood enhancer with only occasional uses of darkness for actual gameplay) annoyingly overused one-way doors / scripted sequences / mood killing cutscenes and overall was, well boring. (which is a pity, so much potental wasted following a Half-Life style model...) I DID like how you could interact with computer screens and panels, they could have made a lot more use of this in the game.
Now playing through Unreal 2 and having fun while doing it. Much more entertaining than Doom3 was, even IF it's pretty much a railshooter. It's a pity Legend didn't have more time and disk space to actually finish the game the way they originally envisioned it. (Though once again it's somewhat of a case of what could have been a badass game being ruined trying to be like Half-Life...)
