Hello.

I am on a quest to try and find the fastest QuakeWorld Client.

Last night I downloaded FTEQW from the FTE homepage and even the menu was lagging and slow, so I think it might be my pc specs.

Alright, I tried the fteminglqw.exe from http://triptohell.info/moodles/win32/

It was just as bad, and using that one it wouldn't download any files (like maps and such.).

EDIT: Also, when I went to the serverlist with that build, my lowest ping it showed was 390.

You forgot to mention your PC specs.

Anyway, that seems to be coming from the resolution change that Quake does on startup (to 640x480x16 bit). My guess is that if you run it with -window it won't happen.
