Anyone care to take a stab at this one? I got all the patches (gl and glpro) I need to play quake 1 again, thanks Mak. Now when I try to install quake 1 on my computer it says something to the effect, cant install quake on window's nt. I am running windows xp OS with a 700mhz duron processor, voodoo3 video, cable connection connected via router through wife's pc. I tried to figure the problem out but after 2 weeks, what do I do? Stay retired from q1? Having problems with q3 also (posted in different thread) So if anyone still comes here that can figure this out give me a shout either here on the board or icq me at 168-014-562 Thanks

Hey, Bro! What is the EXACT error message you receive? Are you using Windows NT or an OS based on NT like 2000 or XP? Finally, are you able to install anything at all?

Hey Bro,,

What are you using to connect to quake? I would think if its a router problem that it would give you a time out error and not the error you mentioned? I'm sure you tried pinging a server? Do you have the full version of Quake? I remember getting that NT error when I tried to use q95.bat I think.. Try JoeQuake? or ProQuake?
