It’s like Konami added those extra little laughing squeaks after they steal your weapon just to drive the knife in deeper. I feel like the return trip across the bridge is when you really start to “feel it” in Goonies II. You’re gaining a deeper understanding of how the game works, you know how to investigate the adventure scenes thoroughly, and now you’re returning to a previously explored area of the game with some new exploratory equipment in tow. Things will get a bit confusing in regards to the layout, but at this point you have all the skills you need to crack the game apart.
