Objective:
Get to the enemy lower warehouse and get the flag. Return
to your base. Go to the very top to capture it.
Scoring:
10 Frags for each capture. 10 frags for whoever captures
it.
Evaluation:
This map lasted about 15 minutes on the server before I
couldn't take it anymore. This thing was just plain ugly, had way too many weird sounds
going off, and I had to turn up the lights to figure out where the hell I was.
Construction on this thing is horrible. All those ramps
serve to do one thing: annoy the hell out of people. The textures, colors, and sounds just
served to cause eyestrain, more than anything else. I'm sorry if I sound so put off by
this map, but I was. Theme? what was that again? I still can't remember what that was
supposed to be...
Layout on this sucker was atrocious. Putting all these
annoying bunkers all over the place in one area was just that, annoying (see above pic).
With the different ramps, ladders, and elevators, this things was just too crazy. The
middle area with all the Lego-type blocks...what was that? Not to mention that it was
flooded in some lava-lamp-mood colors (again, see above pic). Mobility was pretty much
non-existent, as long as you could get past your buddy standing in the hall, or going
up/down the ladders, or falling off ramps.
We couldn't establish much teamwork here, due to not
having any signage, and not really knowing where to try and set-up. It was just a plain
free-for-all in there, and it seemed like every man was for himself. We played with 10
players on this, so we were nowhere near the authors limit, but it was still craziness.
You couldn't employ any strategy on this map, due to the learning curve to find out how to
use it, all the while trying to figure out if you were on the blue or red side (due to
above mentioned weird colors).
Verdict:
Not a fun map. Too hard on
the eyes, and the brain. Maybe a good DM map, but definitely not a team-oriented map at
all. Pass this one over.
