TF and Somethin' Else
TF will never be dead, as long as people are still on the servers and playing.

Ok, first of all I'd like to say is that TF will never be dead, as long as
people are still on the servers and playing. Infact, its not that TF is
dying, its the fact that it's a mod for the original Quake, which has lost
popularity and players. Therefor since nobody is playing and buying Quake
anymore, the less TF player there will be. You also have to blame Q2 and
Q3A, because these sequels are also contributing and dragging players away
from the Quake, thus leading to the destruction of the TF World.

The next thing I'd like to get to is that the TF community needs to ease
down and give it a rest. Just think of it this way, TF looks like it's just
about had it's day, then the same thing will happen when TFC when TF2 comes
out. Plus, I bet all the TF players will also get attached to TF2 for a
bit, then playing a little less TF, then a little less, then playing TF no
more, then it will be destroyed. Don't get me wrong, I started playing TF
ever since I got my cable modem and was finally at a good ping to play
on-line. I just recently bought Quake again [after hucking away the disk and
deleting it a couple of months after my online gaming.], so I could play my
favorite game, TF/Mega TF. Then when I set up Gamespy again, I noticed a big
lack of servers. Plus for some reason the game play was really horrible,
something was wrong with mega TF, and a bunch of the servers were playing
the first made maps for TF. Thats when I decided to hang up my TF carreer,
the first game I truely liked, and looked to the horizon for something new,
TFC.

I see why a bunch of people are getting upset about TF dying down, and the
popularity of TFC. But as I see it, you really haven't played TF/C until you
have experienced the past, because I think TF is all play and TFC is all
looks. Lets face it people, every dog has its day, and TF's day is coming
rapidly.

But I leave one good suggestion to possibly boost the TF world by saying,
TFC is all looks, but TF is a great game if you give it a chance, alright,
it may not be the greatest graphics ever known to man, but give it a shot
before entering the world of TFC. And never forget the routes of the TF
series' history...
