Your crowbar is basically your last line of defense. The sniper doesn't get too many close range bullets; if you run out of ammo for your auto rifle or nail gun and you have no where to run, then the crowbar is your last chance. Also, it's always fun to have crowbar wars in open areas.

The sniper rifle - the gun you will learn to love. This gun isn't a point and shoot-quick gun like the shotgun, you need to let it charge in order for it to be any good. To shoot, hold down the fire button. When the button is held, you will see a small red dot in the middle of your crosshair. This indicates that your gun is charging. Keep it held down to get a powerful shot. If you're shooting at a distant target, be sure to zoom in. Drawbacks of the rifle include a slow, walking speed while charging and you cannot shoot without both of your feet on the ground - this means you cannot shoot while jumping, swimming, or climbing ladders.

Your auto rifle will become your best friend if you get a lot of close range action. This gun uses the same ammo as your sniper rifle, but it fires at a fast rate and will not get you a kill in one shot. While firing the auto rifle at your enemy, they will get slightly pushed back, creating a better scenario for you to escape them. The only drawback is the low amount of ammo you have. The maximum number of bullets you can have is 75, and don't forget - the ammo is shared with the sniper rifle.

The nail gun is just an extra gun in case you run out of ammo for your auto rifle. It really isn't that powerful, however, it can take out sentry guns pretty good (but if you have sniper rifle ammo, why waste the close range bullets?). The nail gun is less powerful then the auto rifle, so if you have a choice between the two at close range, take the auto rifle.

Snipers only get one type of grenade - the hand grenade. You don't need them for long-range sniper wars since you really cannot throw them too far. They do come useful, though, if you encounter an enemy up close. Lets say a medic concs up to the battlements - all you need to do is prime a grenade, hold it until the third beep, and throw it at the medic while firing one of your close range weapons (to do further the damage). You can also use grenades to grenade jump - explained in a later chapter.
