The next step to keeping in motion is jumping. Jumping snipers can be somewhat hard to kill, but it also may be tricky to jump and get your shot off.

Remember, you cannot snipe without both of your feet on the ground, so if you let go of your fire key in mid-air, your shot won't go off. Make sure you are on the ground when you fire your rifle.

If engaged in a sniper war, a good way to strafe into the open is by strafe-jumping. You can also jump while out in the open to lessen your chances of being hit. If you choose to use jumping as part of your technique, be sure to practice, because it may take some time to coordinate your shots.
