This is Hate from Clan Aftermath.. well now.. My TF history is more a history of others for a good portion of it... I first started playing quake on my 486 DX2 with a 14.4 modem playing modem-modem DM using a qtest that MeatHook had scrounged up on one of our BBSs. That entertained us for a while.. as we were still used to Doom and it's simplicity... and playing a game where you could move in full 3d was kinda neet.. After Qtest there came the Warezed version of Quake... the beta.. Meat and I 1 on 1'd on that too with him constantly mutilating my ass.. Another person who beat me down fairly consistently was Tricky (JK, e/X, DV, Djedi).

As soon as the full release came out Meat and Rep had their own mini-lan going where'd they'd play CTF bots. Meat discovered a way that I could dial-up to their CTF game.. so we played 3 player CTF bots till the wee hours of the morn... Meat got his name here and it was also around this time that Meat decided I should pick a name... Looking through all of Meat's CD's I came across Industrial Revolution 3... I skimmed through all the titles and band names... and said "Hey Hate Department doesn't sound too bad"... "Kinda long... how about HateDepT".. "ok".. and that was that.. my name was chosen... As my 486/14.4 couldn't handle internet play.. I was forced to play TF (when it finally came out) from Meat and Tricky's houses... I'd snipe on well6 with Tricky's brand new cable modem.. or I'd use Meat's Interlog ISP account to blast some bitches with rockets.. all and all it was only so long until I deleted it off of my own computer and played exclusively from one or the others house.

When Meat and Rep started e/X I obviously couldn't play.. so I just pubbed with e/X HateDepT in my name and made a couple of fun updates on the web page.. and that was the extent of my involvement with the clan.. Eventually I got myself a pentium 75 and a reliable ISP... (so I thought)... I pubbed... until I was blue and was finally treated with a request to join Clan All European Quakers (AEQ).. I played a couple of matches with this ICQ clan mostly 5 on 4's on street1... Then one day while I was pubbing I came across a group of 4 or so guys fragging me like there was no tomorrow... This was my first introduction to an organized clan... Clan Gods of Destruction! I joined the clan and played in it for a while but was very unhappy with some of the odd members and asked for a tryout for nWo (not realizing there were 213129 clans called nWo.  Rep told me to accept because he thought it was the DW2 nWo).. this is where I met some of the people who are still with me today.. Dogsoldier (dunno if it's the same one) and Doomsday (now in GI/IM) Doomsday and I went pubbing and rocked everyone sniping and soldiering... I was VERY happy here... But alas I was duped.. it wasn't the DW2 nWo.. so I went out in search of a more established clan...

I got IRC and idled in #darkvengeance and #rampage2000... Meat said "Why don't you try out for [UN] they just lost a bunch of guys... (the IC split).. and so I went to the UN tryout and played O soldier and I suppose Zeo (Abatoir[M]) was satisfied with my performance for he allowed me to become a UNp... I finally earned my full UN and played RR D for the clan.. we took a lot of clans to school but fumbled over the tougher clans such as DoS. Here I met the TF life I knew I'd live forever.. I grew close to a lot of the UN members such as Zeo, Ridicule, FreeMason, Chipper, Aspirin and Shinji (most going on to prominent TF clans of today) and started taking a somewhat decision making role in the clan. Here I also met my first 2 TF legends... Speckz|GT and Skintech[AA]... When I first saw ST play ... I made it my goal to be as good as he was... He dazzled me with his skill and how he calmly owned all the competition... Needless to say when I played him he owned the shit out of me.. But after that I practiced and practiced until I thought I was the best... (which still hasn't happened).

Well as was expected, [UN] started recruiting too many people and these new people's personalities conflicted with our own... People became unhappy... and shortly after a cheesy loss to FlipZ (where they refused to change servers after we begged them) [UN] broke up (only to be unsuccessfully reformed :( ). The good, loyal [UN] guys met together and with the help of Forthpit|ZT (another RL friend of mine) we started clan Remission. This clan had a lot of skill with the likes of Inigo and Dred (Dakuan and Wolf) and Speedy.. but after our first match with AiC we lost and got disheartened and Speedy left to return to MP. Drifting around clanless.. I rang for AiC while I shopped around for clans.. I decided I'd join either MP or .M. In .M I met and fell in love with theQuick, Infect, Pro-Pain, Evangelion and Luchini.. I learned how to scout from Darkside and BJC... Here I also got my first taste of sq1 where I was forced to face theQuick with his frightening 30 ping to the .M server. Speedy had also been pulling some strings and getting me in with MP... when it finally came to making a decision.. I had already been asked to become MPr the day I received the ok to become a Marauder recruit...

During my time in MP, I played in the Final Apoc tourney and DW3 which were incredible amounts of fun.. Prolly the most fun I've had in my entire TF career.. I played RR and BM D with a sprinkling of scout to keep up what my .M friends had taught me. AC, MC, Yagami, Exism, Pepsi, Shockwave, Falcon, Aegis, Flashback, Absolut, Buzman, Type-O, Zman, Cujo, Tetsuo and Belldande and Lethe all earned a special part in my heart.. and I still have lots of fun with the majority of them today.. Alot of people left MP after a little disagreement with MC... and I started having problems with how the clan was being run so I decided to pack up my bags and leave.

Clanless now.. I nearly went out to join WM, but decided against it.. (Kordos and Loppy are neet)... I waited for 2 months while Meat and Rep pushed for me to get in IC... I lobbied myself for 2 months and slowly became friends with all the members... I joined and forsook my soldier experience in the hopes of more playing time.. I took up the class that would stick with me for many months ... engineer... I became the permanent IC engineer... with my unstable Idirect connection I got pretty good at the class... Rep and Meat decided that HateDepT was "gay" so I shortened it to "Hate" so they'd leave me alone about it.. In IC I began to study the man who would become my mentor and close friend, Cabal.. His RR D skills amazed me and made me push to better myself at soldier...

With Meat continuously beating me up in sq1 I slowly started to improve at soldier... I was in IC for a long time.. and I met some of the best people in the TF community there... Anfernee and Cabal and Bao and Bungle and Suntzu... Zygote, Fluke, Tetra and PuffDaddy(E-one) and Shad and not to mention all the IC guys who went on to AM... It was from watching Rep scout 32smooth that I finished what Darkside had started...  I learned to scout from a master.. Yet again.. people started having problems with the clan... and after a long haul, most of which I wasn't there fore... IC broke up. Meat and Sunblade were discussing the makings of a new clan with a high standard and a clan that would earn the respect of the TF community as DV and IC had done in the past... This was Clan Aftermath.

A bunch of IC's and Sunny and theQuick joined... Soon some other DV's joined. At first I was upset because I didn't think I would be included in the clan... But when I talked to Sunny all he said was "Sure you can join.. I hear you own LPB".. and so it started... I enged for AM..switching with ChopShop.. muh enging bro who taught me to respect my spanner :).. Finally .. after being dicked around by my cable company for 2 years.. I got @home cable... This was a major stepping stone in the improvement of my skills.. I got my CM and I continued to eng.. but I played a hell of a lot more sq1... I got taught the tricks of the trade by the liked of MeatHook, NavySeal, Inigo, Optimus, Anfernee, Cabal and Ragnarok... when I was done.. Cab gave me a break and allowed me to play RR D in a match... He and Chop were impressed I suppose because I've been designated the AM RR soldier along with cabal. And god damn.. I'm still playin the game so I'll prolly be able to add to this later!

Just to send a shout out to all the friends and acquaintances I've made and to all the people who have made major impressions on me in my career... muh boys Tricky, Rep and Meat, Cabal, Anfernee, Killer Rata, BH, Navy, Inigo, Dred, Cannon_Fodder, littleslug (the man), SunBlade, AC, Yagami, Chopshop, Badness, Antonin, Hazzard, TigerChild, optimus, SideSwipe, Unicron, Amok, Eraser, Lanfear, Zeo/Ab, Ridi, Free_Mason, Shinji, Speedy, Evang, theQuick, FlashBack, RedHera, Langolier, Lethe, Absolut, Skintech, Sinister, Doomsday, Ragnarok, Eronan, Hellsent, Shrapnel and Skalar... I'm prolly forgetting a lot of people.. but damn... look at the list already... You know who you are... thanks for such a great fucking career... that by far isn't over.
